This last Thursday 4th of June P3 was given the fantastic opportunity to observe the sun through four telescopes installed in our school by members of the “Associació Astronòmica Torroja del Priorat”. One of our parents, Isabel Soler, was kind enough to organise the visit, which complemented our Topic and Project: “Our Planet”.
“Our Planet” has been a fascinating topic for our P3 children to explore. It began by locating the Earth & the Moon within our Solar System, we then focused on our unique planet and the importance of taking care of it by recycling our classroom waste. The topic continued with planting various seeds to examine the growth of plants and we learnt about the different insects we can find in our countryside.
