The MossGo project to eliminate polluted air through the use of moss, developed by students from the Escola Internacional del Camp, has won the 7th Audi Creativity Challenge. The winning team competed in the final with schools from the communities of Aragón, Asturias, Castilla y León, Catalonia, Madrid, Murcia and the Basque Country. The ten finalists in Madrid were selected from more than 500 teams after qualifying rounds during the 2021-2022 academic year.

The teams had to submit proposals to respond to the challenge “How to innovate sustainably so as not to compromise the future of our society and our planet?”. Among the proposals presented were projects related to emerging technologies and digital pollution, rewarded recycling, organic gardens, power generation for farms, the elimination of polluted air, environmental volunteering and other topics.

The jury's decision was based on criteria such as the creativity and originality of the idea, the level of development and realisation of the project, the feasibility, the social impact and the ability of the team to communicate its proposal.

The prize for the members of the winning team, our students Damià Colet, Carla Zaera and Leire Ugalde and their drivers/teachers Anna Margalef and Roger Vallvè, is a trip next July to Silicon Valley, the world centre of innovation and technology, to further develop their project in an innovation centre, sharing experiences with professionals from leading companies such as Google, Apple, Netflix, Facebook and Twitter. On returning to Spain, the winning proposal will be presented to different partners and potential investors in order to market it.
