Grandparents, the main protagonists of Older People’s Week at EIC

Last week, EIC celebrated the first of its Special Weeks, Older’s People’s Week. The closing ceremony was last Friday and, like every year, was a meeting in the Forum and a snack where students and grandparents enjoyed the traditional “coca amb xocolata”.

At the EIC we recongnise the great work that grandparents do in the growing up and support to our students and, as a small sign of esteem, they are invited to share an afternoon at school with their grandchildren. During the event, grandparents also enjoyed a poetry reading and listened to songs which the children had prepared in their honour.

Throughout the week, grandparents were also present in various activities in the classroom, where they read stories and showed pictures and toys from their childhood.
