The Escola Internacional del Camp raises 1,675€ for La Marató de TV3

The EIC raised 1,675€ for La Marató de TV3 by participating in various initiatives. Through the Mútua General de Catalunya, 683 origami (paper cranes) were made in the campaign 1 origami = 1 euro, which raised 683€ for infectious diseases research, the theme of this year's of TV3.

We also raised 992€ through the NON UNIFORM DAY campaign. This was on December 1st and it was organised by the Senior Student Council and students from ESO 4, who sold cakes, bangles, necklaces…, all made by themselves. 50% of the collection of bands for the end of year trip went to La Marató.

In addition, several students participated in the contest “Pinta La Marató”. It was to depict concepts related to infectious diseases. To have understand the topic, the students had a presentation from a specialist sent by the Fundació La Marató. A thousand students participated in this competition and 304 works were presented, from 128 Catalan secondary schools. ESO 2A students of the EIC were finalists, with Isabel de Villena School, from Esplugues de Llobregat. The winners were Ramar 2 from Sabadell. For those three classes the prize consists of a stay for a weekend in a hostel of Xarxa Nacional d’Albergs Socials de Catalunya. Well done!

Last Wednesday 21th March, Paula Ortiz and Jana Pagès, Primary 4 students, joined the meeting of the 36th School Olympics in Reus, as the school leaders. This is the second year that the EIC is taking part in this amazing event organised by the Consell Comarcal del Baix Camp. The School Olympics will start next 6th April with the open ceremony where our leaders will have many functions...
