The EIC distinguished as ‘ESCOLA VERDA’

On Saturday, November 25, at an event held at the AGBAR Museu de les Aigües in Cornellà del Llobregat, along with 33 schools throughout Catalonia, the EIC received the distinction of Escola Verda.

In the emblematic building of the AGBAR Museu de les Aigües the ceremony was presented for the ‘Distinctions of Escola Verda’ and the ‘Escola Verda Awards 2017’.

After a process of training and several projects presented, the EIC, along with 33 other schools in Catalonia, was distinguished as ‘ESCOLA VERDA’. It has been fifteen years since the ESCOLA VERDA project was launched and there are almost 700 schools that are today part of the whole Catalan territory.

The ‘ESCOLA VERDA’ is not just a badge but it is a way of doing and of being that it fits perfectly with the educational project of the EIC and our Socrates Educa model:

- Promote the participation of the entire educational community through global projects and integrated into the teaching practice.

- Systemize the work done in relation to environmental education.

- Form critical and participatory citizens capable of facing the challenges of sustainability.

Throughout the school year we will inform you about the different actions that we have carried out.

Congratulations on this new achievement and the challenge of being, among all, every day more coherent and respectful with the environment!
